Bay Visions Heads to the Bay

Join us October 27 to learn about our sea lion and whale friends in the San Francisco Bay. All members of the GCA clubs in Carmel, Hillsborough, Marin, Orinda, Piedmont, and Woodside-Atherton are invited. The PIER 39 Harbormaster, Sheila Chandor, will reveal the back story on the sea lions. Over lunch, Dr. Jeff Boehm, Chief External Relations Officer (and former CEO) of The Marine Mammal Center, will share findings on these species that will surprise, amaze, and inspire us.

We look forward to bringing all six Northern California GCA clubs together in this beautiful setting on the Bay. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the Bay and visit with new and old neighboring garden club friends.

Ticket ($75) includes admission, lunch at Swiss Louis Italian and Seafood Restaurant, parking, and a donation to

The Marine Mammal Center.

2. Select your lunch entrée from the drop-down window on the purchase page. Your choices are Chicken Marsala, Pasta Primavera, or Baked Salmon.

3. Work with your club to carpool to the event.

10:15   Park at PIER 39 Parking Garage, 172 Beach St., San Francisco; 3-hour parking validation provided. The Main Entrance to the PIER 39 Garage is at Beach Street and The Embarcadero.

10:30   Meet at K-Dock PIER 39 (Beach St. and The Embarcadero), Coffee, Group Photo

10:45   Presentation by Sheila Chandor, PIER 39 Harbormaster, at K-Dock

11:00   Walk to Swiss Louis Italian and Seafood Restaurant, PIER 39

11:15   Presentation by Dr. Jeff Boehm, The Marine Mammal Center, at Swiss Louis Restaurant

12:00   Lunch at Swiss Louis Italian and Seafood Restaurant

1:00     Event concludes. Return to parking garage before 1:15 pm
