On October 23, sixteen OGC adventurers joined members of five other regional garden clubs for an eye-opening wildlife tour of the Elkhorn Slough, one of California's largest tidal waterways. We enjoyed a magical tour of the area on an electric pontoon boat run by Monterey Bay Eco Tours. Over lunch in the preserve, we learned about efforts to protect wildlife, wetlands, and natural spaces in this sanctuary area on our coast.
